We are back in William Hill League 2 action this Saturday when we travel to New Douglas Park Hamilton to play Clyde FC.
In a very tight and competitive League The Rose are currently 5th with Clyde FC in 10th with only 5 points separating the sides.
Both sides were in Scottish Cup action last Saturday where The Rose went out of the competition at East Kilbride while Clyde went down in a penalty shoot-out at Elgin City.
Clyde are now under new Manager Darren Young and will be a tough test for The Rose as they look to move up the table.
In the last League outing Clyde FC went down 3-1 at Stirling Albion with the home side scoring two second half goals to secure all 3 points.
Clyde have drawn 4 out of 5 of their previous League matches.
The Rose defeated Edinburgh City FC 2-0 at NDP with a dominant performance with second half goals securing the points.
Rose dominated the first half, offering a physical game plan focused on gaining momentum early. They created their first chance just 40 seconds into the game, with Neil Martyniuk volleying over the Edinburgh City goal. Rose's best opportunity of the half came through Kallum Higginbotham in the 14th minute, who tested Mark Weir early on. Kerr Young had a headed chance from a corner in the 40th minute, which the Edinburgh City goalkeeper saved. Neil Martyniuk made a crucial last-ditch tackle to deny Edinburgh City's Connor Young a goal-scoring opportunity, displaying Rose's strong physical defending. They gave little to no chances to the visitors throughout the first half. Bonnyrigg Rose brought on Callum Connolly for the injured Sean Murphy in the second half, aiming to continue their dominant spells of possession from the first half.
Cammy Ross gave Rose the lead in the 70th minute, nodding home after combining with Lee Currie from a corner. Connolly converted from another dangerous corner from Currie in the 85th minute to secure the 2-0 victory.
Manager Calum Elliot was delighted with the performance where The Rose dominated throughout and limited the visitors to very few chances.
On our last visit to Clyde (06/01/24) we went down to a 3-2 defeat after losing 3 first half goals and despite scoring two late goals we came away from New Douglas Park empty handed
