Pitch Fund Update

Pitch Fund Update

Michelle Reid31 Mar - 19:30

Check out what has been happening and what's coming up!

It’s been a few weeks of good news for the club and our pitch fund. The Scottish FA awarded us a bronze licence, we hit over £100k and secured a pitch fund contribution from developer contributions courtesy of Midlothian Council!

We are also exceptionally grateful for the generosity of everyone who took part in our events, raffles and fundraisers. Read on to see what’s been going on and what’s coming up....

Along with the sensational support from our supporters, donors and sponsors, we were thrilled to raise an almighty £11,000 during our Glitz & Goals Gala Dinner at Kings Acre Golf Club & Country Club on 15th March. The night was a roaring success, Mark Martin was a brilliant host and the entertainment was excellent, with live music from PG Ciarletta. Thanks to everyone involved and to our gracious hosts, Kings Acre Golf Club & Country Club.

Thank you to our friends at The Calderwood Bar who held a Pitch Fund fundraiser on 29th March. There was a full evening of entertainment, raffles, auction & a buffet. Lots of people attended and had a great night. Well done and thanks to all.

Our friends at Hibs also kindly donated two hospitality tickets to the Hibs’ home game against St Johnstone on Saturday, 29 March. These weren’t any auld Hibs tickets, this was a chance at a seat in the chairman’s lounge! Our lucky winner had a great time and was delighted with the experience. Thank you so much to everyone who took part in the raffle, we are very grateful.

A huge thank you to our friends at The Anvil for hosting their Country Night on 21st February in aid of the NDP Pitch Fund! We’re so appreciative of the support from those in the local community and, going by the cowboy hats seen on social media, we know everyone had a fantastic night. An incredible £1645 was raised. Thank you everyone involved.

Also a massive thanks to our friends at Luci's Restaurant & Cocktail Bar who continue to support the pitch fund, with the current amount raised at £1,967. The Bonnyrigg Rose cocktail is still on sale, available for a few more weeks. Have you tasted it yet? Get yours before they are gone. Thank you Luci's!

Next up is our Speaker event on Sunday 4th May. Off the ball but supporting the slope.
BBC radio presenter and football pundit Tam Cowan is coming to town for a Pitching In speakers event! Make sure your afternoon on Sunday, 4 May is free because this is one no football fan will want to miss! Hosted by our friends at the Bonnyrigg Rose Social Club at 1.30pm - 6.30pm with hot food - curry, chilli or stovies - provided by the wonderful Mamma’s . Tickets are £25. A raffle and auction will be part of the day as one of the last kicks of the ball to raise funds and support the slope . Get your tickets here.

NDP Heroes
We have always been a community club and our NDP Heroes keep on giving and answering the call. We can’t be more proud of them all.

There is still time to sponsor Marie Arthur (Bonnyrigg Rose Chair) https://shorturl.at/pIONf and Brendan Parkinson as they take on a half marathon each https://shorturl.at/arM7X and Graham Clark and the lads attempting 42 grounds in 42 hours thank you all!

Our wall of fame continues to grow, new additions to the wall include:

Thank you all for your generous donations. We are very grateful!

This love really can last forever. A lifetime season ticket is a great way to support the club and it also represents fantastic value. Just think how many goals, moments and wins you will never pay for again. If you are, shall we say, ‘a little bit more mature’ and are interested then please get in touch as we have some options around multi-year season tickets and transferability. Contact us to learn more.

There is still time to support our pitch fund heroes and if you can take on a challenge of your own! Whether it be bashing out a marathon or baking a cake, pull on your cape or apron and let us know how you’re becoming a pitch funding hero. Tell us your pitching in stories here!

Thank you all. C’mon the Rose!
