New Rose manager Jonny Stewart started his new chapter with Bonnyrigg Rose as he returns to NDP with assistant manager Ross Gray, formerly of Rose, as well.
Bonnyrigg Rose faced off against Stirling Albion. The first half wouldn’t present any clear chances until 20 minutes in for both sides. Kerr Young would rattle the post of the Albion goal in the 23rd minute, coming agonisingly close to giving Rose the lead. Stirling would get their goal from a Gallagher Lennon own goal in the 34th minute, leaving Rose a goal down at the break.
Stewart’s men would be revitalized and came out positive with chances in the second half. Broque Watson would level the game for Rose in the 65th minute. Rose would have plenty of chances to seal the game, with Kerr Young, Broque Watson, Mark Ferrie, and Murray Aiken having notable chances to take all three points.
Jonny Stewart’s men would share the points for a positive first game in charge of the Rosey Posey. The Rose faithful move to next week’s fixture away to Clyde next Saturday. Let’s all get behind Jonny and the lads!
C'Mon the Rose!
