Next time we are on the road to Methil to play League leaders East Fife.

Last time out The Rose went down 3-4 in a topsy turvy encounter at NDP.

Rose took an early lead in the 14th minute when Mark Ferrie capitalized on the first chance of the afternoon.

Peterhead responded with three quick goals Colloty equalized in the 17th minute, Shanks put the visitors ahead in the 24th, and Barry extended their lead in the 26th.

Just before halftime, Cammy Ross pulled one back for Rose.

Early in the second half, Lee Currie leveled the score with a powerful free kick from the edge of the box.

The remainder of the match saw both sides battling for possession and momentum.

Ultimately, Peterhead had the final say, with Smith securing all three points for the Blue Toon in the 88th minute.

Table topping East Fife came out 1-0 in Edinburgh against The Spartans with a late penalty taking all 3 points back to Methil to go four points clear at the top of the table and will provide another tough test for “The Rose”

In the previous League meeting between these sides, it ended in a 1-1 draw at NDP.

Rose started the afternoon with on the front foot, scoring early on through Lee Currie in
the 7th minute from a well-executed free kick that found the top left corner,
beating the East Fife goalkeeper.

The Fifers created chances in quick succession, but on loan Goalkeeper Tom Ritchie dealt with the
shots comfortably in the Rose net.

Jack Healy and Mark Ferrie had chances just before the end of the first half, with
Ferrie hitting the side netting and Healy’s shot being claimed by the Rose
goalkeeper.

Bonnyrigg controlled the latter stages of the first half

East Fife changed the tempo of the game in the second half, as Shepherd,
Murdoch, and Millar created dangerous chances for the visitors in the first 15
minutes.

The Rose had two great chances at the start of the 2nd half with a
chip coming close in the 51st minute, saved by McFarlane, followed by an
acrobatic effort going just wide of the goal in the 60th minute.

East Fife’s lifeline came through Jess Norrie, combining with Jack Healy to
equalise late for Campbells side in the 76th minute.

Rose came extremely close to taking a late lead in the 92nd minute, as Cammy Ross was denied a goal when his
shot hit the inside of the post, resulting in both sides earning a point.
