We are back in action at NDP following the postponement of our match against Stirling Albion last weekend, this match will now be played on Tuesday 3rd December with a 7.45pm kick off.
The East Fife match at Edinburgh City also fell foul of the snow and ice.
The Rose come into this match on a good run at present with 10 points out of 12 and will be aiming to maintain this current form with the run of 3 home games in a week coming up.
East Fife under Dick Campbell will be a tough opponent and will be looking to record their first win this month in this very competitive League.
Manager Calum Elliot’s thoughts on this match
This will be a big test for the team.
The last time we played East Fife they ran out convincing winners in the end.
We will need to be ready for a game against a side who will be no doubt up there challenging at the end of the season.
They have a lot of experience in the team and I’m looking forward to coming up against the most experienced and one of the most successful managers in Scotland with his success in Dick Campbell who has built teams to win promotions at every club he’s been at.
The last two home games especially the supporters have been fantastic getting behind the team and we will need them again on Saturday.
In the last meeting between the sides the game was changed by the decision to send off Greg Allen after 14 minutes on his debut for The Rose which completely changed the match.
The Rose had started well and had two massive chances to take the lead in the first ten minutes, Connolly and Cammy Ross failing to put the Rose ahead.
From the penalty that was given alongside of the sending off ,Alan Trouten converted from the spot, and he would add his second before the break after making a smart run beyond the defence and looping his header over Ritchie.
Ritchie made a big save to close out the half to deny Nathan Austin, and Rose went into the break 2 goals behind.
Ritchie would have much more to do in the second half, pulling off some big saves to deny Pat Slattery and Austin at his left post.
East Fife would make the advantage count late in the second half, as Trouten would complete his hat-trick with a header at the back-post, putting him clear as the top scorer in the division.
Andy Tod would grab a brace in the final few moments of the game, heading in from a corner for his first and volleying in off the bar for his second to make it 5-0 at full-time.
