Calum Elliot named one change to the team that lost in the Scottish Cup at East Kilbride the week prior, with Callum Connolly coming into the midfield in place of Kallum Higginbotham.
After an impeccably observed minute's silence to pay respect to Charlie, Rose started the game in perfect fashion, Cammy Ross pouncing upon a Craig Howie mistake and slotting it beyond Robbie Hemfrey to put the Rose ahead just a few seconds into the game.
Rose could've and perhaps should've added to that goal advantage, Lee Currie sending in a teasing free-kick that flashed across the face of goal, with no takers in the box to apply the finishing touch that would have made Rose's lead a lot more comfortable.
After passing up an earlier opportunity, Clyde's Falkirk loanee Jordan Allan didn't miss his chance in the 24th minute as he lashed the ball past Paddy Martin to bring the Bully Wee level in the game.
Martin Rennie went close to giving the home side the lead heading into the break, forcing Martin to fly across to his right to push away a powerful long-rang effort.
Rose may have felt hard done by not being awarded a penalty just before the break, as the referee waved off Mark Ferrie's appeals after he went over in the box after going through on goal, under the pressure of the challenging defender.
Things looked like falling apart for Rose early on in the second half, after Paddy Martin collided with the onrushing Jordan Allan. The keeper was shown a red card for the incident.
Callum Connolly was the player sacrificed to allow Aberdeen loanee Tom Ritchie to come on from the bench.
Clyde couldn't make their man advantage count, with Rennie going the closest to putting them in front after he hit the post with a chance that looked easier to score than to miss.
After withstanding a lot of pressure from the home side, Rose capitalised on another mishap at the back for the Bully Wee, and Cammy Ross placed it into the net with a lot of time on the ball to grab what looked to have been the winning goal, his fourth goal in the last three games.
Clyde would snatch a point right at the death though, with substitute Marley Redfern picking out the bottom left corner of Ritchie's goal after a low-driven cross found it's way through the Rose rearguard.
The boys did well to battle their way through the second-half, and will be looking to get a consecutive home victory when they welcome the visit of Elgin City to New Dundas Park next Saturday.
