The Rose travel to Methil to face East Fife at the MGM Timber Bayview Stadium in another vital William Hill League 2 clash.
Bonnyrigg Rose come into this match after a disappointing day against Forfar Athletic at NDP.
They struggled to create much in front of goal throughout and went behind on 54 minutes when Cannon found the net from the edge of the box and were unable to gain any real momentum in the match and will be looking to turn it around in Fife this weekend.
East Fife under Manager Dick Campbell currently sit top of the League after an away win at The Spartans with a goal from the League top scorer Nathan Austin and will be a tough task but The Rose will be looking to continue the excellent record we have at the Bayview Stadium.
In the last meeting between the sides in Methil last April the game played out as follows:
To start the game, Rose would have an early goal cancelled due to Keiran McGachie being flagged offside.
Alan Trouten would then give East Fife an early lead after he got played in at the back post from a Liam Newton cross.
Rose would answer back immediately through a Neil Martyniuk header too powerful for Fleming, from Lee Currie’s corner in the 15th minute.
Ross Gray would then put the Rose ahead 10 mins later as Dean Watson’s cross found Gray, whose volley found the top right corner at the back post.
Rose would extend their lead in the 39th minute through Bradley Barrett after a bit of individual brilliance from Dean Watson as he flicked the ball over Liam Newton then fired from range setting up Bradley Barrett for a simple finish.
Callum Connolly would have a one-on-one with Alan Fleming at the end of the first half with his effort saved by the East Fife stopper.
The second half would start off with Rose close to scoring with 2 great chances for Bradley Barrett and Dean Watson’s shot cleared off the line by Brogan Walls.
East Fife would have chances from Jack Healey and Connor McManus, not troubling Martin in the Bonnyrigg goal.
Kerr Young would add to Rose’s goal tally for the afternoon after he got to the end of a Lee Currie corner, scoring his second goal against East Fife this season.
Rose would see out the rest of the afternoon with effective game management in the later stages of the game and gain a very valuable 3 points.
