For our second league outing of the season, we make the short trip to Ainslie Park to face The Spartans.
This is the first of 3 consecutive away games as we travel to Stranraer on Tuesday night (13/08) in the SPFL Trust trophy 2nd round and follow this up with a trip to Meadowbank Stadium to face Edinburgh City in the league.
Matches between The Rose and The Spartans have been close and very competitive over the years and this one should be no different with 3 points at stake for both sides.
In the first William Hill League 2 outing of the season The Rose went down to an injury time goal for Peterhead after a very even and highly contested match where a point would have been well deserved.
The Spartans travelled to Stair Park to face Stranraer where they came back from a 2-0 half time deficit to gain a point with a 2-2 draw.
In the last game between the sides at Ainslie Park in February the home team ran out 2-1 winners after scoring 2 quick goals midway through the first half and despite a Neil Martyniuk penalty 10 minutes into the second half The Rose left pointless.
