We welcome Arbroath FC to New Dundas Park for our final outing in this seasons Premier Sports Cup.

Both sides have had mixed results in this season’s competition and will be looking to end their participation with a positive result.

Arbroath in their last outing at Inverness CT gained a 0-0 draw and gained the extra point by winning the penalty shootout 5-3 to move onto 2 points in the group.

The Rose after an excellent performance in Annan went down 3-0 in our last outing in Inverness and will be looking to bounce back against another League 1 team in Arbroath who themselves have been looking for form as we move towards the start of the league season.

Arbroath who are Managed by Jim McIntyre have dropped down into League 1 after a relegation last season but do have a number of experienced players in their ranks and will provide a stern test for The Rose who are still bedding in our new players and building towards the league campaign which starts on the 3rd August at NDP against Peterhead.

Managers View

We are coming up against a strong Arbroath side, a team full of experienced players who are well organised and I’m positive will have high expectations for the season ahead.

It’s a good test for us before the league opener next weekend.

NDP has to be a more difficult place to come to in the season ahead and hopefully that kicks off today.

The support through the Premier Sports Cup campaign has been hugely appreciated by the players and the staff and we hope to repay that with the results the supporters deserve.

Calum.

C'Mon the Rose, Lets Go!
