Bonnyrigg Rose return to home comforts this weekend as Annan Athletic make the trip to Boomtown.
A heavy 4-0 defeat was inflicted upon Rose by the Galabankies a fortnight ago, but the reverse fixture at NDP in October finished with Robbie Horn’s men taking all three points in a 2-0 victory.
George Hunter opened the scoring that evening, before Kieran Mitchell nabbed the clincher in smart fashion with a cool, composed finish.
Mitch was recalled by parent club Raith Rovers before our most recent meeting with Annan, but the club are delighted to welcome the forward back to Boomtown on loan once again.
The speedy striker had made 12 appearances – scoring twice – before his recall, before playing three league games for Raith this month.
Last weekend for Rose brought a defeat to Dumbarton, but there was a clear improvement on recent performances. Gregg Wylde’s well-taken finish after 15 minutes proved to be the sole strike of the close tie.
Annan come into this tie after two solid results. After a strong result over Rose, they walked over ten-man East Fife 3-0 – with goals coming from Max Kilsby and a Chris Johnston brace.
Kick-off is 3pm at New Dundas Park. Tickets are £12 for Adults and £7 Concessions (12-16 & O65s), under 12s go free when accompanied by a paying adult.
