Ore Park was the latest venue in Bonnyrigg's travels, where Ballingry Rovers played host in this McBookie.com Superleague tie. Ballingry would have been confident of a result going into the tie having held Bonnyrigg to a scoreless draw earlier in the season and had held Hill of Beath to the same score a few days previously.
The opening period was a fairly uneventful affair, with some good approach play from the Rose culminating in a number of corners. Ballingry tried to hit Bonnyrigg on the counter attack but in truth neither keeper had much to do.
Bonnyrigg started the second half much brighter and played some good football, creating some decent chances, most notably for King, McLeish and Renton. Credit has to be given to the Rovers keeper and defence as they were throwing bodies in the way of everything that the Rose had to offer.
The deadlock was finally broken on 73 minutes when Alex King played a ball across the box for Ross Archibald to continue his recent scoring run with his 9th goal of the season.
The Rose are back on the road next week to Lochee Utd, who will be looking to bounce back from their 4-1 reverse at home to Newtongrange.
