We are disappointed to disclose that our scheduled East of Scotland League Conference B fixture at New Dundas Park v Bo'ness Utd was cancelled yesterday with the agreement of both our opponents and the league. Despite having laid pitch covers on Sunday and Tuesday the overnight temperatures plummeted to -7 which was still at this level at 8:00 this morning meant that upon inspection the ground below the covers was solid. To compound matters there is no running water in the Andy Kelly Lounge due to frozen pipes.
We would like to thank both Bo'ness Utd and the East of Scotland league for their pragmatism in calling off the game yesterday, which will allow both sides to make alternative contingency arrangements. Also thanks to our volunteers who helped us lay the covers on Sunday and Tuesday which gave us our best chance of getting the game on.
Our next scheduled fixture is at Meggetland next Saturday where we face Tynecastle in another Conference B encounter.
