SPFL Report Update

We are pleased to confirm that yesterday we submitted a full update to the SPFL on our plans to resolve the pitch issues and meet our licencing requirements. This has been the culmination of an incredible amount of work by many people. As you know we took the decision that we needed a dedicated working group with a wide range of skills and experience. This group together with club volunteers and so many local heroes has achieved so much in such a short period of time.
• There has been a full and robust tender process which is now entering the final stages and we expect to appoint a contractor shortly with a view to commencing work as soon as the season finishes.
• We have launched a fund raising campaign which in the last month alone has doubled the amount raised to just under £70k. We know we still need to raise more money but this is more or less in line with our projections and there is a full calendar of events over the next few months.
• We have worked collaboratively with the SPFL and SFA regarding the content of our submission and we are confident it is robust and achievable.
We still have a long way to go but following the dark days of the points deduction we genuinely believe we are in as good a position as we possibly could be and if we continue to pull together over the next few months we can achieve something special.
We committed through this process to engage with supporters and the community. We will hold a further supporters event in March where we can give a fuller update on progress.
In the meantime on behalf of the football club I would like to thank our supporters, sponsors and the wider community for their support and generosity. The last couple of months have really shown that the community values this football club and the part it plays in all our lives.
Finally, can I make a specific mention of the players and coaching staff who have dealt with the situation brilliantly – let’s show our appreciation by getting right behind them. We win together, we draw together, we lose together – we go again!
