Local businessman and Bonnyrigg resident, Bill Short, along with his wife Janina have made a substantial five figure personal donation to the pitch fund for Bonnyrigg Rose.

Bill and Janina who own W&J Short’s garage, Short Self Drive, Lothian Brakeways, and Dalkeith Ford Centre (part of the Your Ford Centre group) made the following statement for his donation.

We’re delighted to support Bonnyrigg Rose and their pitch fund’.

‘The good fortunes of our family-owned businesses have only been possible thanks to the support we receive from the local community of Bonnyrigg and the surrounding areas of Midlothian.

Having a well-supported and successful Bonnyrigg Rose is vital to our community as they bring so much joy to so many people, and we felt this would be a great way to give something back to both the club, and our local community.

This donation to the Bonnyrigg Rose Pitch Fund is our way of saying ‘thank-you’ for the support our family businesses have received from the local community for many years, and I’m sure that with the continued support from local families and businesses, Bonnyrigg Rose will continue to go from strength to strength, and be a huge part of the community for many years to come.
