Bonnyrigg Rose Football Club

Bonnyrigg Rose Football Club

The club recently changed its name to football club from boys club. This was to encourage girls to participate in football and as part of our overall development strategy. We have also recently registered as a community club and have now also joined Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic as part of a larger community organisation.

The club was formed in 1995 by a handful of dedicated coaches. It has now grown into one of the biggest clubs in the Midlothian area with teams at every age from 8 - 16,with approximately 250 players registered.

Thanks to Midlothian District Council, our home ground is in the heart of Bonnyrigg at the Staiside pavillion beside Lasswade High School

Since the start the objective has been on player development, with the emphasis on allowing the children to enjoy playing football in a fun, safe and secure environment.

Football in Bonnyrigg received a major boost in September 09 with the news of the creation of a new community club - Bonnyrigg Rose Football (Sports) Club.

The new club which will involve the amalgamation of Bonnyrigg Rose Boys Club (which has already changed its name to Bonnyrigg Rose Football Club), Bonnyrigg Rose 'A' U21s and Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic Junior Football Club agreed a new constitution and rules on Monday 14 September.

The new club will provide opportunities to participate in football for boys and girls from soccer fours and soccer sevens through to Super League football for semi professional players.

The new community club would like to recognise the support provided by the Scottish Football Association and Midlothian Council in taking this project forward. Further information about the new club is available by contacting:
