Allan McDougall has been serving the community in Edinburgh and the Lothians since the 1920s.
Our solicitors are able to provide a broad range of expert legal advice on a wide range of legal matters from our offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dalkeith and Penicuik.
Over the years, we have built up an enviable reputation as one of the more prominent civil litigation firms in Scotland, particularly in the field of personal injury work.
Our aim is to provide a high quality legal service to all, irrespective of social class or status. We remain firmly of the view that everyone should have access to quality legal advice and for that reason we are one of a few Edinburgh City firms still offering legal advice under the Legal Aid Scheme to those with little or no income.
With such a sound work ethic it is not surprising that Allan McDougall remains firm in the belief that the education of newly qualified law graduates is an important and integral part of the firm’s role in society. A testament to the quality of the training provided by the firm can be seen by the number of former employees who are now leading lights in the Scottish Legal profession.
During May 09 Bonnyrigg Rose football club have benefited from new equipment in the form of training balls for every age group and brand new match kits for their under 11s thanks to sponsorship from Axon Cable Ltd. and a matching award of £940 from SPORTSMATCH.
Following a previous sponsorship deal with the team, Axon Cable Ltd.have once again provided funds for new match strips and waterproofs for both under 11 sides, which will be worn for the first time on their 2009 Easter tour to Belgium. SPORTSTMATCH funding enabled the club to buy training balls that will benefit every age group in the club; that’s over 180 young footballers in Bonnyrigg.
The support we have received from Axon Cable combined with the SPORTSMATCH award is great news for the U11 teams in particular, and for the boys club in general. We proudly carry the logos of both organisations on our new strips. Sponsorship is vital to the continued running of a grass roots football club like ours, and the SPORTSMATCH initiative to encourage such sponsorship is brilliant news for us.
John Weir, General Maanger of Axon cable said:
"Axon' Cable Ltd are very proud to continue their support of Bonnyrigg Rose Boys Club.It is encouraging to see teamwork and competitiveness in boys of such a young age within an active and healthy environment.
We wish the boys and their coaches continued success with the season and with the upcoming Belgium tour."
Louise Martin, Chair sportscotland said: “Bonnyrigg Rose boys Club is one of more than 1,600 sports groups throughout Scotland to have benefited from over £4.4m of sportsmatch investment in grassroots sport. Our thanks go to Axon Cable Ltd for this sponsorship. This is a great example of how businesses working in partnership with sporting organisations and sportsmatch can make a significant contribution to community sport, enhancing the lives of many young people in Scotland.”
Sportsmatch is an award scheme set up in 1992 that aims to support commercial sponsorship of grassroots sports projects that encourage participation at community level, especially youth groups, girls and women, and those facing barriers to participation. In Scotland, sportsmatch is funded by the Scottish Government and managed by sportscotland.
